P3 at Bardfield Saling and Dedham
We help Adam out on two sites.
Adam is having a major work party on a byway at Bardfield Saling on Friday 29th. As the job is quite a daunting one we decided to help out.
The team involved was Terry, Pat, Jim, Wendy, Ann, John and Pete. We met Adam on site and then pushed the trailer along a very slippery byway.

There were many areas that had severe drainage problems caused by horses, motor bikes and 4 by 4's.

It was decided to dig some drainage channels into the adjoining ditches. So Jim and Terry got started.

Ann was asked to help cut back those nasty brambles and roses whilst Jim and Terry gave advice.

It was a slippery and mucky job, but as always we all set to the task. Wendy and Adam start on one puddle. Soon you could see a real difference.

The other problem with this byway was the overhanging vegetation. It was decided to cut this back to allow walkers to use the verge to get past the muddy areas. Also by cutting back this will allow the sun and air in to help with drying out the area.

Pete sets to with the brushcutter. What a lot of vegetation to clear.

Where has everybody gone? Oh I know.

They could have told me. Wendy seems to be a little muddy!!!!!!!

Terry always keeps up with the news.

Stan does a good job cutting back and tidying up.

That does look better. Hopefully the large work party will be able to complete this task.

John leads the way with the trailer. It beats using a car.
We were also asked to help out in Dedham by showing another group how to install metal kissing gates. They were a very eager group and with the help of Jason, Adam, Jim, Pat and Pete the 2 gates were completed.

Jason looks quite satisfied with the outcome.
