Roxwell/Chignal P3
Another new area to work in for Adam.
On a rather cold morning a smaller group than normal set off for Chignal. We had Andrew, Pat, Terry, Carl, Ann and Pete helping out. We met Adam on site and then walked round all the heavy earth moving equipment that was making a new road across the fields.

Adam and Ann set the scene by lighting a fire to keep us all warm.

This was going to be the footpath through the plantation. Already Carl and Andrew are collecting wood for the fire.

Our resident 'Beaver' sets too and soon the offending branches are dispatched. You can just see Terry and Pat on the horizon. Yes they are working not skiving.

Now that does look better. This should be a lovely walk in the Spring and Summer. The river runs along the LHS of this path.

This is meant to be an entrance onto the footpath. Luckily our brush cutter will make short work of this obstruction.

Pete starts the clearing. There should be a farm track around here somewhere.

With the help of Andrew we manage to break through to the track. We just need to make it wider so a grass cutter can get through.

Now that looks almost finished. Ann cuts out the trip hazards. All we have to do now is to put in the waymarkers and re-site another way marker.

Adam, Pat and Terry start by re-siting a way marker post. Adam needs to do some more weight training to get up to the standard we expect.

Both Terry and Pat stand back and look on in amazement. Doesn't Adam look smart in his NEW UNIFORM.

Pat and Carl start work on another post.

No Pat that isn't facing East or is it West. Hopefully Carl is keeping a keen eye on what is being done. Andrew is still trimming back the brambles.

Ann keeps an eye on what is being done, whilst Adam and Terry have a warm up. Yes Andrew is still cutting back.

Well all is finished and the team pose for a picture. Thanks to you all for the hard work put in. Hopefuuly Terry will feel better for next week at Black Notley.
