Registered Charity No: 1115617
The Friends group began in August 2004 when a small
group of volunteers were invited by one of the Rangers
to help with the maintenance of the Country Park. As
numbers grew we formed a committee, wrote our own
constitution and became a registered charity in
September 2005.

Rayne Station August 2009: The Friends get together for a reunion with Nigel. The reunion was arranged to site a new bench with his name on at Gatewoods pond in Rayne. It is planned to erect a new interpretation board there with details of the changes that have taken place and the wildlife that can be seen in the area.
We set out to bring together local, like-minded people
keen to keep active and with an interest in the
outdoors and conservation who want to maintain and
improve the environement for the benefit of everybody
in the community.
Those aims continue to apply today!

July 2009 We are still going strong! Following a work party at Tarecroft wood clearing footpaths and litter picking the Volunteers pose with Rangers Tom and Claire for the end of term photo.
