Carriage repainted

12/4/2016

Our Railway carriage needed some TLC as the paint on the roof had started to peel on one side so on Monday our team of volunteers arrived bright and early to make a start.
Picture
By lunch time they had scraped off the old paint and sanded the surface and by the end of the day the undercoat was on. It was raining first thing Tuesday morning so they could not get going until 10.30 but then the sun came out so they dried off the surface with some old towels and got started on the top coat. By 2pm it was all finished and looking very smart. Well done everyone!!
