Gransmore Green clearance

13/4/2016

The Footpath Work Group have been to Gransmore Green to carry out some work.
Picture
The group was made up from Ann, Carl, Tony, Steve and Pete. Our first job was to clear a footpath along a field edge. There were two way markers to be put in. Another task here was to clear the footpath along a hedge line near the road. This was quite badly overgrown with hedging and brambles.
After this we moved to another footpath. This one was badly overgrown with nettles. We soon had the path brush cut then the task was to fill in a large number of rabbit holes and cut back some overhanging trees.
The weather was really good today and we saw quite a few Brimstone butterflies. At one stage Adam came out to see how we were getting on.
